We’ve updated how balances and sub-users work for Residential accounts. Here’s what changed as of October 14, 2025:

Balance and Plans

As you know, each Residential service account now includes a balance that can hold multiple plans, each with its own expiration date and traffic allocation.

Previously, the parent user mirrored the total available traffic from all active and standby plans.

Moving forward:

  • The main (parent) subuser will now show Unlimited traffic.

  • This means the account stays active as long as there’s an active plan on their balance with remaining traffic and time.

Sub-Users

We’ve also improved how traffic allocation works for sub-users:

  • Creating a sub-user no longer subtracts traffic from the parent balance.

  • Each sub-user now has its own independent limit.

  • You can set a sub-user to “Unlimited”, allowing continuous use as long as the main balance has traffic and is active.

  • Sub-users can be assigned limits higher than the main balance — For example, useful for resellers who want to sell more traffic without pre-purchasing everything upfront.

NOTE: Even if a sub-user has remaining traffic, it will stop working when the main balance runs out or expires.

Key Concepts and Examples

  • Traffic Allocation: Assigning traffic doesn’t affect your main balance immediately.

  • Dual Dependency: Sub-users require both an active main balance and their own package to function.

  • Unlimited Sub-users: Rely entirely on the main balance — they’ll work as long as the balance has traffic/time left.
