How fast are the proxies

Datacenter, premium, or dedicated proxies

The average timeout of our data center proxies depends on the protocol you use:

  • HTTP(s): 375ms
  • Socks4 & Socks5: 575ms

HTTP proxies are a little faster than Socks proxies because it consumes a lot fewer server resources.

With a total network capacity of over 20Gbps, this proxy type should suit the majority of high-speed use cases.

Residential proxies

Our residential proxies are back connect proxies, this means when you connect to our proxy network it will redirect your connection to the proxy device. Because of this, the connection speed might differ a bit sometimes but we try to keep it as low as possible. With a median speed of 1000ms, the proxies are amazing for the majority of high-demanding use cases.

Free proxies

These are public proxies that are available all over the internet. You can configure the preferred timeout of the proxies on our website with a maximum of 10 000ms and a minimum of 50ms. Due to the fact that the proxies are public, we are unable to control the exact timeout and the timeout might quickly change when the proxy becomes overloaded by other users.

If you need fast and stable proxies we recommend our premium proxies.

Additional information

Please note that these timings are made in optimal conditions. The timeout of proxies also depends on your location relative to the proxy, your internet speed & device performance, and the performance of the target website or service.

There are a lot of factors to consider when measuring proxy performance.
